the tale of four corners

Once upon a time, two girls set out on a roadtrip.  Originally one of their primary goals was to touch the lower 48 states.  One of their primary tools was this...
The four Corners.  In this glorious place, you can hit New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado... simultaneously.  Since these two girls didn't have any strong desire to go to New Mexico, this locale sounded glorious.  FABULOUS! They thought!
Looking at the map above, they reckoned that the 4 Corner excursion would be about an hour out of the way.  "Not a bad sacrifice," they thought, "Four states and more time to listen to Harry Potter on tape!"
So, they began to drive.
Through nothing...
It took a long while...
They were getting tired of driving (of course not tired of Harry Potter!)

And then, they got there.
Well, alright, they took a wrong turn... and saw hilariously angry signs.
BUT... then they really got there.

And were grossly disappointed.

So... they took pictures.
We didn't know we were in New Mexico in the first place, but bye NM!

HELLO
COLORADO!

Hello Utah!

And... here are some drilling things that made me think of Emily, Brett, Laurel, and my father:
Cameras have a gift of turning sad things into beautiful ones...  disappointments into happy times...and scenes to memories.

We're going to have a lot of camera aided memories to share when we come back!
